What you should know
The atmosphere is inviting,, with a fantastic bar area that encourages mingling with locals. The home-cooked meals, especially the chips, are good.
Some areas could benefit, as several guests found showers lacking in pressure and the bathroom size to be a bit cramped.

The friendliness of the hosts at Blue Peter Hotel. They were attentive throughout my visit. The bar atmosphere was cozy and gave a taste of local life, which I greatly enjoyed. I appreciated the home-cooked meals, especially the steak and ale pie. It was a highlight! The room I stayed in had some challenges. The decor felt tired, and the shower pressure was quite low. The single bed wasn't the most comfortable and had a noticeable squeak, a bit disruptive. I believe a bit more heating in the dining area could enhance the mealtime experience, especially on chilly days. Nevertheless, I'd definitely return due to the warm hospitality and good meals, hoping for improvements in the room's comfort.

The Wi-Fi connection could have been better, a bit frustrating at times.

The home-cooked meals were good, particularly the grilled vegetables, which showcased the chef's skill. After a thorough exploration of the local attractions, I found the atmosphere inviting, often engaging with the friendly locals at the bar. The shower pressure was noticeably weak was great, and the decor in my room seemed a bit outdated. Wi-Fi connectivity proved to be spotty at times. Despite these minor issues, the overall warmth and hospitality were nice.
